When deciding to build a home, you will have to answer many questions including where do you want to live, what size home fits your needs, what features do you desire, what is your budget, and what is your design/build timeframe. Once you have given each of these items some thought, you can then decide on the house plans.

At Randy Wise Homes, we offer our customers three types of homes Classic, Custom, and Semi-custom. It is important that one understands what each home type offers so that they can determine what option best meets their needs. Each type has advantages and disadvantages, and the type you select will be determined by your answers to the above questions.

Classic Homes:

Classic Homes are plans that have already been drawn and are ready to build. These plans offer the most popular features and finishes and come in a wide range of layouts, styles and sizes. These plans are time tested, ensuring that they are designed to live and offer the owner fluid traffic patterns that flow with the intended use of the room.

Classic Home plans offer an exceptional value. First, owners save money up front because these plans are significantly less expensive than custom plans as you are not paying for design time. These plans also cost less to build as the material quantities are preplanned and there is little waste. Lastly, owners of a Classic Home take advantage of a learning curve. Our subcontractors have built these plans before and are very efficient and make minimal mistakes saving money on both labor and materials.

Classic Homes are perfect for those who want to move in quickly and only want to or have time to participate in making minor decisions. These homes can be built in as few as 4 months, and since Randy Wise Homes interior designers have already researched and put together today’s most modern and stylish finish packages for you to choose from, the decision making is easy and stress free.

Custom Homes:

Custom Homes are exactly what the name says; customized to meet the homeowner’s every need and desire. Often plans are drawn from scratch and massaged for months until they perfectly capture the vision of the owners.

When building a custom home, owners spend a large amount of personal time working closely with the builder on material selections, as well as usually selecting each fixture and finish for the home. Custom homes are usually built because customers desire such features as murals, pet rooms, game rooms, large workshops, luxurious baths, his and hers master closets, chef pleasing kitchens and more.

The costs of developing custom plans are generally significantly higher due to the large amount of time dedicated to the job, and materials and finishes chosen for the home are often specialty or professional grade thus also adding to the cost of the home. With our willingness to be flexible in the building process with change orders and the uniqueness of your home, building timeframes sometimes are adjusted. However, the experienced staff of Randy Wise Homes is dedicated to helping you realize your dream home while making it a pleasurable and rewarding experience!

Semi-Custom Homes:

At Randy Wise Homes we realize that what is good for one family may not work for another. So, we offer the ability to make minor changes to plans in our Classic Homes portfolio in order to meet your needs. Minor plan modifications and finish changes are often easy to accomplish and allow the owner to create their own Semi-Custom home!
