“We have been coming to the 30A, Sandestin, Destin area for over 25 years. In 2018 we were fortunate enough to purchase a condo in Blue Mountain. Ultimately, we made the decision that being (mostly) full-time 30A’ers was what we wanted, and we set about a search for a full-time home and community that would fit our lifestyle. Key to this decision was finding a neighborhood that did not allow short-term rentals. To our surprise, there are precious few of those types of communities here in the 30A area. Because we spent so much time at a property that allows short-term rentals, we fully understand the challenges that come with that. While most folks are lovely and just here to have a good time, there are always those that press the limits of decency and reasonable behavior.
